on my last day in bangkok, i was feeling a little tired, restless and most of all a little empty...though i know i can't feel any emptier with all those food i've been feeding myself. umm...but even D could tell from my face. why? now... you see, on my several ocassions in bangkok, i would to get a piece or 2 items from Fly Now (you can read more about this designer here in my earlier post here) just to satisfy my desire of owning another piece of Fly Now's item. this time, i did not fancy anything from their boutiques....the collection don't seem to appeal to me. it was little heavy, vintage and baggy...so i was feeling little disappointed that i might leave bangkok empty handed without any of their item...but just as all hopes were thinning in bangkok's polluted air...D had wanted to go to Siam Paragon to look-see...and guess what!! when we were casually walking through Siam Paragon departmental store to get to the escalator, from the corner of my eyes I saw a Fly Now logo....and it's their bag and wallet collections!!! apparently, these are exclusively sold in Siam Paragon and no where else! very quickly, ...i laid eyes on a lamb skin wallet which I couldn't resist......i've been meaning to get myself a wallet for the longest time....and here it is.....yeah!! i'm a happy girl.

new year = new shoes!

got my first pair of converse shoe from rockstar. i call it a ballerina's sneaker. the shoe and its soles are slimmer than the usual sneakers.looks girly and are really comfy. unfortunately or was it fortunately, the display piece (which is about a week's old) was the last pair available. so i grabbed it since i love the design and the color. umm...rockstar has a great selection of sneakers for us ladies which comes in limited pieces.....perhaps this is the beginning of my new interest in another genre of shoes?
D got a pair of Tom's slip-ons. I tried the ladies version and it was nice to wear and really light as well. the front of the shoes were expandable for those with broader feet but yet looked slim. nice heh? might get a pair for myself when more new designs arrive during end feb.
a new pair of shoes for each of us to start this new year. yay!

"shopping quest!"
as D said, today I'm on a shopping quest.
while i had 2.5 hours to myself (10 to 12:30), i took the opportunity to do ALL the things I needed to and could do. thought 2 hours was a long time, but as I did all the walking..no..all the shopping....seeing then trying...it seems like i didn't have enough time. =)
managed to redeem my tang's points in exchange for $, bought a basic blue girly top from Mango, got a new fine eye liner brush from shu uemura (this is better than the Mac one i got!! and it's newly launched!!!), detoured to wisma to check out french connection and gg5 (got nothing), went to Loccitane to acknowledge receipt the card I received last week (the blur salesgal forgot about it when i got the card), went to meet D after his "class" and we headed for dim sum lunch.
while shopping at Mango @ Scotts (during my time alone before i met up with D) and feeling the hot, humid, stuffy heat, i decided to do justice to living in this tropical island and get myself a cooling tube top. I don't usually wear tubes, cos I don't like how the elastic band rest on my chest. If you are not toned, it doesn't look good actually. but today at Mango, i chanced upon a range of tube tops that fits me perfect and with material great for our steaming weather. unfortunately, there were no new piece left for my size. I HAD TO get it!!! and I DID'T CARE what color or design it was!! I HAD to get my hands on ONE!!
my quest had began from before i met D where i first saw it at Mango @ scotts then wisma, taka and centerpoint till after we met, where we continued to look for it at marina square then after so much walking and 6 Mango outlets ...FINALLY. i finally found the tube top at suntec!!! man oh man.
this is it. the tube top and i'm tired. but happy. really happy.

Fly Now
I love to see and touch the clothes in Fly Now. Everytime I walk pass the window display, i have this tingling sensation running through my body. There's an excitment and definitely a moment of envy - I wish I could wear all their designs especially the coutures which are beautifully made.
The brand has 5 sub-brands under its wing - Fly Now, Fly Now III, Fly Now Black, Fly Now The Leather and Boulevard. I have only seen 3 of them during my trip in bangkok and each of them is strong in their design direction. They all make a statement and convey their message across clearly to us consumers.
Next time, if you have the chance, do look out for Fly Now in Thailand.

Fashion bonus
I, for one, protest against lousy brassieres with underwires/fabric so uncomfortable to wear. I don't understand why brassieres are made the way it is and wish there could be further development for us ladies to feel as "free" as it is for men. ha..
I've discovered a great product for the fashion conscious victims. yeah! Here I'm introducing you the Nippies - one of the best invention in the market (after the aircon which I cannot live without!). Created for those who dare-to-bare and not submit to incompatible undergarments. Nippies are made of silicon and all you need to do is to stick it on. It's secure and can be used up to 50 times. They can be easily washed with normal soap and all you need is to dry them and they can be reused again. So easy right? It's really comfortable since it's as good as not wearing anything underneath. So don't submit and make do with lousy brassieres when wearing revealing tops. This is definitely a great fashion product worth trying!
You can find them selling at Warehouse outlets, Tangs and probably other outlets in town.![]()

2008 Full Pantone Colors - Fashion Report

Top 10 colors for Fall this year. Instead of the usual low-key colors such as grey and brown, be excited with the season's colors for fashion. They call it cool hues. Bright and cheery and definitely a great way to add colors to your wardrobe. Have fun matching your attires and say bye-bye to boring dull colors.

2008 Colour of the Year by Pantone
The PANTONE 18-3943 Blue Iris was selected by the Pantone Colour Institute as colour of the year for homeware, cosmetics and fashion.
The blue elements inspires calm, especially attractive in this complex world that we live in, while the purple elements add a touch of magic & mystery. Grays hues, red-browns, deeper plums, grapes and yellow-greens offer great pairing opportunities.
