homebound

perhaps because i haven't been feeling too well,
i'm so attached to staying at home.
the thought of going out makes me feel giddy and dizzy
and i observe my heartbeat seems to beat faster too.
we just went out at 6pm today, and in less than 2 hrs, we're home.
my stomach felt bloated while i had dinner outside.
but as soon as i got back, i felt safe and that feeling's gone.
after D's shower, we'll be having some sweets dessert, our favorite solero ice-cream (lime on the outside and vanilla on the inside).
i'm so wanting to have something sweet to work out my sick taste buds once again.

we'll remember this day
where we set forth our path
to walk hand in hand
in this meaningful journey ahead
when we reach our destiny
and look back at the path we set foot on
only we knew, that those footsteps were heavy
but it didn't matter since we had each other
and we'll be glad, we've made it that far.

Beautiful designs by landscape architect Anouk Vogel and architect Johan Selbing, for the Vondelpark in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Singapore should look into this!!

Happy Roses

This is no illusion or digital editing. This Netherlands company has literally developed a technique to create a certain colour for each petal, with a rainbow rose growing as a result.

what a wkend!

this had been quite a happening weekend for me. first it was a revival of abba's dancing queen, then it was making chrysanthemum tea, longan red dates drink and potato, carrot, tomato & porkribs' soup. it was good to stay in and relax at the comfort of D's home today while others were feeling the monday blues. hope he'll feel better with all the fluid i've made and be ready for the up and coming challenge ahead! kanbate!!

potato curry

with the assam fish curry we leftover since friday, i cooked some potato and made it into a spicy and well-flavoured potato curry dish today. we had it with a loaf of tomato baguette and that was simply a perfect lunch for D and I.

we could always whip up a good dish with leftovers....why not in this recession?

The Onitsuka Tiger Zodiac Race

A great video produced by PandaPanther, to launch the 60th anniversary campaign for Onitsuka Tiger. The brand is one of the companies in a merger that created ASICS in 1977. Incidentally, the latter stands for "anima sana in corpore sano" - a Latin phrase which translates to "a healthy soul in a healthy body."

Check out the "behind the scenes" video:

The design worn in KILL BILL:

Lastly, my selected design, on the bottom right:

a companion for your vespa..

Check out the retro Morgan Cycle. Imagine it with a Vespa scooter, and a Mini Cooper!

And to complete the set, I'd like to recommend the following electric bike by Miguel Ángel Iranzo Sánchez. The Motobecane Motivo is crafted from walnut wood and leather, with a chic suitcase designed into the frame. The latter serves as a battery carrier, for remote charging at home.
