well..the fact that i needed to "chase my dreams"..and that i didn't feel like going back to the office after that, i decided to take a half day afternoon off for myself. anyway, i didn't sleep well last nite and wasn't in the best condition to work (yes. just an excuse.). you see, i had a sad dream about a friend and my cousin. felt so drained (i read that sad dreams are because my 'yin' is not enough and i need some tonics for that!) after i got up today and had no mood to work at all. plus, my work now is not challenging anymore. it's probably a waste of my time to just sit in the office and not using my brain cells. rather than waste my time feeling useless, after i "chased my dreams", i met up with D for lunch then we headed to kino @ taka for our latest craze!
we've been quite into chinese herbs recently and have been reading, buying and cooking dishes with them in it. we love the taste and smell of those chinese "bu' (nourish) soup. we've been having so much fun. everytime we have them, we feel so revitalised. ahhh....not sure if it is psychological or really true, but so long it do us good, why not? yesterday, we did black chicken herbal soup and that we read is for blood circulation. must be the portions of herbs we added or that the guy from the shop we bought the herbs from didn't give us the right details, i felt so HOT (must be my blood circulating like mad!) after drinking the soup. ha! D seems to have the same problem and he had problems sleeping. so we decided to get some books to read more about the herbs. especially when D is so particular about taste and getting it right, it's good to learn more.
in fact, we have also bought several glass storage containers (only $1.5 for small; $2 for medium; $2.5 for large from ikea) to store our chinese herbs. this wkend, we'll be heading to chinatown to get those little pots for boiling our herbal soups. we want them in a per person portion.also, we might be cooking (and experimenting) shaoxing wine with steam crab and assam fried mee hoon! hehe...can't wait!!
